Should Celtic sell Tom Rogic in the summer transfer window?

Murdo MacLeod has told The Daily Record that Celtic should sell Tom Rogic in the summer transfer window.

Rogic has been on the books of Celtic since 2013 and has a contract with the Scottish Premiership giants until June 2019, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.

The 24-year-old attacking midfielder is hugely talented and has a lot of potential, but the Australia international has struggled with injuries.

Rogic has featured in a total of 92 matches for Celtic so far, scoring 22 goals in the process, as stated on the Glasgow giants’ official website.

Former Celtic midfielder MacLeod, who is 58 years of age, has suggested that the Hoops should sell Togic in the summer transfer window.

“The supporters like him when he is on the park but the Aussie is not there often enough,” MacLeod has told The Daily Record regarding Rogic.

“Rogic does nick important goals but any bids would have to be considered as his stock is quite high at the minute after playing at the Confederations Cup. Verdict: Sell.”

Rogic is a good and creative midfielder, and although injuries are an issue, Celtic should overlook that and keep faith in the former Central Coast Mariners man.

The Bhoys need to keep their best players in order to qualify for the group stage of the Champions League next season and perhaps even advance into the knockout rounds of Europe’s premier club competition.
