The former Arsenal and Manchester United striker has been impressed with the performances of Saka this season.
The 18-year-old, who can operate as a left-back or as a left-winger, has established himself as an important player in head coach Mikel Arteta’s side this campaign.
The Daily Mail reported in February that Liverpool are keeping tabs on the teenager, who is out of contract at Arsenal at the end of next season.
Football.London quotes Van Persie as saying about Saka: “If you point out Saka, I’m a huge fan of his.
“He can play as a defender, he can play midfield, striker, not the main striker but on the wing. He’s a multi-talented player who can offer assists, goals, he’s a joy to watch.”
Stats
Saka has made 15 starts and six substitute appearances in the Premier League for Arsenal so far this season, providing four assists in the process, according to WhoScored.
The English teenager has also scored two goals and provided five assists in six Europa League matches, and has scored one goal in four FA Cup ties for the Gunners this campaign, according to WhoScored.
Liverpool transfer this summer?
Saka is progressing well at Arsenal and is playing pretty regularly, and he is unlikely to do that at Liverpool just yet.
It does seem unlikely that the youngster will move to the Reds this summer, but question marks over his future will remain until he signs a new deal.
