The new Marseille recruit Michael Cuisance has insisted there was nothing wrong with his Leeds United medical.
Leeds are reported to have pulled out of a £20 million deal to bring Cuisance from Bayern Munich, over issues which arose during the Frenchman’s examination.
But Marseille encountered no such problems ahead of their subsequent loan move.
And, speaking at his unveiling on Wednesday, Cuisance said, as quoted by Foot Mercato: “There was no problem with the medical examination (at Leeds).
“I had one in Marseille and it went very well.
“There was no problem on my side.
“Afterwards, I don’t know more.
“Here, I had it and I’m in good shape.”
Leeds failed to sign an alternative to Cuisance ahead of Monday night’s transfer deadline for Premier League and international deals.
But the Whites can still recruit from EFL clubs until 16 October, with the Norwich City midfielder Todd Cantwell one player already linked.
Marseille have an option to buy Cuisance outright at the end of his temporary spell, something the 21-year-old added, as quoted by RMC Sport, that he would be “delighted” to do.
The Strasbourg-born player made his name at Borussia Monchengladbach before Bayern paid around £11m to land him last summer.
