Arthur Melo has wished Tottenham’s new signings, Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur ‘much success’, as he posted on his Instagram story.
Tottenham snapped up the duo from Juventus on deadline day, Kulusevski joins on an 18-month loan deal, whilst Bentancur has joined on a permanent basis.
During the winter transfer window, Spurs were linked with several names, left, right and centre, including that of Melo’s, who was on the radar of both north London clubs.
Instead, it was Kulusevski and Bentancur who arrived and this is the reaction Melo provided:
To Kulusevski: “I wish you good luck, Dejan. We will miss you.”
To Bentancur: “Much success at your new club, brother.”

Antonio Conte must be a fairly satisfied individual, as Spurs just about got themselves over the line on deadline day.
As important as it was to bring the new faces in, it was perhaps even more important to part ways with those who were struggling.
Two of the biggest outgoings were Dele Alli and Tanguy Ndombele – both, for different reasons, have struggled under various managers and the writing was on the wall regarding their departures.
For Ndombele, it’s a case of a loan deal to where he used to work his magic in Lyon, whilst Alli has moved to Merseyside to work under the new Everton boss, Frank Lampard.
Given Alli’s continued struggles, it’s going to be interesting to see how he now fares in a different light and a new blank canvas to work with.
If he gets his engine going again, then England will be calling, if not, then he may have to think about dropping down a division to re-find his goalscoring talents.
