Leeds United fans and Helder Costa have reacted to Robin Koch’s message on social media after his return from injury.

The 25-year-old stated that whilst he was ‘disappointed’ with suffering another costly defeat, he is now aware of that ‘special feeling’ of playing in front of an Elland Road crowd.

Given supporters weren’t allowed into stadiums last season, and Koch was playing only his second game for Leeds this term, amazingly enough, this was the first time he played in front of a packed-out home crowd.

It’s been over a year since Leeds paid £13 million for his talents (Goal) and injuries have hit him hard, so that has played a huge part in him not being able to experience 30,000+ fans singing his name.

Nonetheless, Koch posted the following message, both on Twitter and Instagram:

Loaned out Leeds winger, Costa, posted in the comments section of his IG post: “Good to see you back bro.”

Whilst the Elland Road faithful sent similar messages and stated that they were glad he has back in their colours.

Added with that, some didn’t realise that it was Koch’s first time playing in front of them.

Whilst Marcelo Bielsa’s side suffered another morale-sapping defeat, the home crowd towards the end of the game, in particular, were a credit to the club.

Koch would have got an understanding as to what the Leeds fans are really like and these group of players are going to need them during the second half of the campaign.

The injury list is just growing in Yorkshire and it’s hurting Bielsa’s side the most because of the small squad they have at their disposal.

The return of Koch is one positive, at least, even if they have conceded 11 goals during their last two matches.

But it doesn’t get much easier because it’s only a small matter of the highest goalscorers in the league in Liverpool being in town after Christmas.
