England kick off their European Championship qualifying campaign in Norway tonight (K.O 17:45 BST) in what is sure to be a tricky encounter.
Norway triumphed over Bosnia-Herzegovina in their first outing and will have been buoyed by their performance.
England, on the other hand, will be looking to bounce back after a disappointing showing at this year’s Euro’s in the Czech Republic.
Gareth Southgate’s men failed to make it out of the group stages, finishing bottom of their group after a win and two defeats.
A number of key stars failed to deliver on the big stage and Southgate will be hoping for a new-found drive from his new-look squad.
Tottenham player Eric Dier is back in the Under-21 frame after missing out on the Euros and his team-mate, the exciting Dele Alli has also made the squad, appearing at under-21 level for the first time.
Meanwhile, Chelsea youngster Ruben Loftus-Cheek will be hoping to impress Jose Mourinho in light of Chelsea’s recent sticky spell.
