Yves Bissouma and Dejan Kulusevski reacted to Tottenham Hotspur wing-back Ivan Perisic scoring for Croatia at the Qatar World Cup today.

It’s knockout time on football’s biggest stage, and after Croatia fell 1-0 behind to surprise packages Japan during the last-16 stages, it was Tottenham’s summer signing who levelled the scores after the break.

In previous times, he has showcased his quality on the ball, whether it’s using his left or right foot to equal effect.

Well, in Doha, he was using his head because Harry Kane would have been proud of his bullet header on the World Cup stage.

When that goal went in, Yves Bissouma posted on his Instagram story: ‘Yes, Mr! With your old head there.”, whilst winger Dejan Kulusevski simply added shocked emojis to his Instagram story.

After 90 minutes, the scores were level, with the game going to extra time.

PERISIC STILL GOING STRONG

Whatever happens to Croatia at the World Cup, one thing that can’t be argued is that Perisic, at 33, is still going strong.

The former Inter Milan star, who played under Antonio Conte in Italy and is now in north London, has been one of Tottenham’s best players this season.

And whilst Harry Kane has booked his quarter-final ticket with France, he isn’t the only Spurs player cooking at the winter World Cup because Perisic has been equally as good for the 2018 finalists.
