Jordan Henderson has played more minutes than any other outfield player in the top four.
The statistic means the Liverpool midfielder has taken part in every single one of his side’s Premier League matches, falling just short of playing in every minute of their campaign.
Only goalkeepers Petr Cech, Simon Mignolet and Wojciech Szczesny have been on the pitch longer than Henderson amongst the top-four sides, while Eden Hazard’s importance to Chelsea is underlined by the fact that he follows just behind.

If anyone wanted proof of how far the 23-year-old has come at Anfield, this serves as fine evidence. Boss Brendan Rodgers has clearly put all his faith into Henderson, with the midfielder providing Liverpool with a physical engine like no other.
Indeed, defenders Steven Caulker and Ryan Shawcross are the only outfield players to have played more minutes than the ex-Sunderland man in the Premier League as a whole this season.
Henderson’s stamina is exceptional, explaining exactly why he has been an almost ever-present for the Reds this term. The midfielder’s ability to stay injury-free has also helped immensely.
And such is Hendo’s attitude that he recently revealed he will continue taking part as much as he can – despite needing an operation.
“I’ve got to get an operation soon but it won’t stop me from playing games,” he told the Liverpool Echo. “There is a lot to play for and I don’t want to miss out.”
If you’re ever wondering about a Liverpool starting line-up, then, it’d probably be wise to assume Henderson is one of the first names on the team-sheet.
