West Ham’s 18-year-old midfielder deserves a chance to impress.

It is clear that many changes are required at West Ham United but a possible solution to one of the club’s many problems is already available to manager David Moyes.
Cheikhou Kouyate has produced some impressive performances for West Ham in the past but of late the 27-year-old has struggled and he was particularly disappointing during Moyes’ first game in charge – the 2-0 defeat to Watford last weekend.
Kouyate relishes pushing forward and attempting to find the net but he squandered some inviting opportunities to score against Watford and was also unable to offer much protection to his team defensively.

Moyes may feel a little reluctant to take any unnecessary risks given the club’s current predicament but he does have the option of dropping Kouyate, at least for a few games, and giving talented youngster Domingos Quina a chance.
Quina, who was previously on Chelsea’s books, was on the bench against Watford but didn’t make it onto the pitch.

A superb passer and dribbler, the 18-year-old may not be especially strong physically but he certainly has the technique and vision to make an impact in the Premier League.
West Ham need an injection of creativity and Quina could certainly be the player to provide it with his fearless approach, although it remains to be seen whether Moyes will consider playing him.
