Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after the club tweeted a 31-second video of Diogo Jota in training as he nears his return to action.

Then footage shows Liverpool’s £41 million man in first-team training once again, doing some ball work alongside his teammates.

Jota can be seen laughing with Andy Robertson, and also being given some advice from Pep Lijnders, as he tries to regain some fitness.

The 24-year-old has been missing for over two months after suffering a knee injury in a dead-rubber Champions League clash with FC Midtjylland in December.

Whether Jürgen Klopp should’ve even used him in that game is questionable, but we won’t get on to that right now.

Let’s focus on the positives. A key member of Liverpool’s team is closing in on his return, ahead of some winnable games.

Liverpool face Sheffield United, Fulham, and Wolves over the next few weeks, while clashes with Chelsea and Arsenal are also on the schedule.

Before his injury, Jota was arguably Liverpool’s Player of the Season.

The former Wolves attacker had netted nine goals, and was coming in clutch with winners against Sheffield United and West Ham.

Hopefully, once he’s back, he stays back – another significant injury for Liverpool would be borderline ridiculous.

Let’s see what the Liverpool fans on Twitter have been saying about the 31-second footage…
