The conveyor belt of talent at Tottenham Hotspur shows no signs of stopping.
The international break may have brought another unwelcome halt to domestic proceedings, but there are plenty of reasons for Tottenham Hotspur fans to be cheerful.
Not least is the continuing productivity of the club’s academy, with a whole host of teenagers coming through the ranks and hoping to make the breakthrough next season.
Here we take a look at five Tottenham youngsters to keep an eye out for next season, excluding the obvious choices of Marcus Edwards and Cameron Carter-Vickers, both of whom could impress in 2018.
Kazaiah Sterling
Young striker Kazaiah Sterling has been making waves in the FA Youth Cup this season and he will be hoping to get a first-team chance in due course.
He may be young, and he will have to compete with the likes of Ryan Loft and Shayon Harrison, but Sterling is definitely one to watch.
Kyle Walker-Peters
The exciting young right-back will be hoping to challenge his near namesake for a starting spot next season and much will depend on the future of Kieran Trippier.
Whatever happens, Kyle Walker-Peters should get a game or two in the cup competitions and from there anything is possible.
Shilow Tracey
Signed from Ebbsfleet United in January 2016, attacking midfielder Shilow Tracey has been training with Tottenham’s first-team this season and he looks to be settling in nicely.
With raw power and a versatility being developed by stints all over the pitch for the under-23s, Tracey will be hoping to step up sooner rather than later.
Reo Griffiths
Another young striker, Reo Griffiths will be hoping to build on his early steps with the under-23s.
He is only 16 and has a long way to go but he can make a real impact for Tottenham’s second string if he plays to his full potential.
Samuel Shashoua
Attacking midfielder Samuel Shashoua may only be 17 however he possesses innate skill and an eye for the sublime.
This season he has operated predominantly on the right wing but he is equally comfortable on the opposite flank or through the centre.
