Jose Enrique has told Tottenham transfer target Naby Keita that it’s time to ‘move on’ and leave Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool in the summer, as he posted on Instagram.
The 27-year-old’s contract runs down in the summer and it doesn’t seem as though Liverpool, who have many midfield issues, will extend the £120k-a-week star’s (Spotrac) stay on Merseyside.
On Tuesday, surprise rumours emerged that Antonio Conte’s Tottenham are looking to sign Keita on a free transfer in the summer and he is looking at his options as contract talks at Anfield aren’t at an advanced stage.

Back in 2018, Keita moved to Liverpool with big expectations on his head, but he just hasn’t been able to deliver, even though the club has won the lot.
He has had his moments, but his inability to match the quality of others around him, as well as his injuries, means that he wasn’t able to improve.
And whilst former Liverpool left-back Enrique thanked Keita for his time at the club, he brutally told him that it’s time for him to ‘move on’.
“Thank you Naby,” said Enrique. “But is time to move on for you and the club. Good luck.”
SHOULD TOTTENHAM SIGN KEITA?
In terms of age, there isn’t an issue because he is at the peak of his powers, but is his body?
There are those injury concerns, and even on a free, it would be a risk because Antonio Conte has asked the club to bring in players that wouldn’t drop the levels of the starting XI.
Is Keita better than what Spurs have starting and on the bench? The answer is probably no, so there’s no reason why they should sign him, even without a transfer fee.
