The Tottenham Hotspur star admitted that his side have more chance of winning the cup competitions than the league this season.

Tottenham midfielder Moussa Sissoko spoke exclusively to the club’s official website in the aftermath of his side’s disappointing home defeat to Manchester City yesterday, and hinted that he and his teammates are prioritising success in the cup competitions this season.
Spurs currently sit in fifth spot in the Premier League table, five points adrift of league leaders City, and considering the fact that they did not sign a single player during the summer transfer window, it would take a herculean effort for Mauricio Pochettino’s men to win the league.
The north London outfit head to the London Stadium to take on London rivals West Ham i the Carabao Cup tomorrow night, and Pochettino will surely rotate his starting XI, with the game coming so soon after yesterday’s defeat to City.
Sissoko spoke to the club’s official website last night, and hinted that Tottenham might just be focusing on the cup competitions this season:

“We have good quality in this group and we all want to win something together. We know in the cup it is more straightforward to win because you don’t have so many games, but it won’t be easy because you have some good teams to play. We have to take our chance, play every game and try to win every game until the final. This is what we want, and I hope at the end of the season we will get some trophies. It’s going to be a massive derby match on Wednesday, so we have to make sure to win this game.”
West Ham will be desperate to win a cup themselves this season, so Tottenham will be in for a tough evening in east London, and will have to be at their very best, if they are to progress through to the quarter finals of the competition.
