The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder seems like a changed man this season.

France's midfielder Moussa Sissoko arrives in Clairefontaine en Yvelines on November 6, 2017, as part of the team's preparation for the friendly football match against Wales and Germany.

Tottenham ace Moussa Sissoko insisted that he is happy in north London, despite rumours linking him with an exit this summer, and suggested that his switch to central midfield has been behind his fine form, when speaking exclusively to Sky Sports.

The 29-year-old joined Spurs from Newcastle United on transfer deadline day in the summer of 2016, for a fee believed to be worth somewhere in the region of £30 million, but he initially struggled to settle at the club.

The French World Cup winner has really come into his own this season, however, playing a key role for Mauricio Pochettino’s side from a central midfield position.

And Sissoko credits that change in role for his improved form this term, telling Sky Sports how happy he currently is playing in the heart of Tottenham’s midfield:

“Maybe it took me some time to get here, but I am happy to have joined this club and happy to be here. I am very happy in that role. We train a lot in that position and was happy with it. I was feeling better and better in games. I got more confidence from the games. I feel it is my natural position, even though I was playing out wide for Newcastle. From when I started playing football, my position was as a central midfielder.”

Calcio Mercato claimed earlier this month that Inter Milan want to sign the Spurs ace in the summer, but judging by the Frenchman’s comments to Sky Sports, he wont be going anywhere anytime soon.

Tottenham are still well in with a shout of winning either the Premier League or the Champions League this season, and of Sissoko continues his fine form, they have every chance of doing just that.
