Tottenham Hotspur’s Moussa Sissoko has refused to be drawn on the futures of Christian Eriksen and Toby Alderweireld.

Sissoko was taking part in an Instagram question and answer session when he was urged to get Eriksen and Alderweireld to sign new contracts with Tottenham.

But the £30 million Spurs midfielder (BBC Sport) has suggested that there is very little he can do to stop the pair leaving.

Tottenham fans are desperate for Alderweireld and Eriksen to pen new deals, with their futures uncertain.

Alderweireld’s current Spurs contract is due to expire at the end of the season.

Tottenham can extend it by a year, but they then activate a clause that means he can leave if any side bids £25 million.

Eriksen, meanwhile, has just over a year left on his current Tottenham contract – meaning he can move on a free in 2020, as things stand.

Eriksen and Alderweireld have both been key players for Mauricio Pochettino’s side this term, and losing either of the pair would be devastating to Tottenham’s starting line-up.
