Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Moussa Sissoko has told Football.London that he thinks Jose Mourinho is right about the mood of the Spurs dressing room.

Mourinho took his side to Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon, taking on rivals Chelsea in a huge game both in terms of the rivalry and with both teams chasing a high finish this season.

Spurs looked a threat on the counter attack, but ended up playing quite a reserved game in the second half, frustrating Chelsea in a 0-0 draw.

The game was far from a classic and won’t be replayed by fans any time soon, but the result saw Spurs go back to the top of the Premier League table.

All Spurs needed was a point to leapfrog Liverpool again, and they did that – but Mourinho suggested his players were far from happy in the dressing room after the game.

He noted that yes, a point was good, but Tottenham were leaving West London disappointed not to have won, which showed the mentality of his players.

Now, midfielder Moussa Sissoko – who has quietly carved out a key role this season – admitted that he thinks Mourinho is right.

Sissoko added that Spurs could do better, but it’s ‘not bad’ because they took a point against a strong rival and sit top of the table.

“Yeah he’s right,” said Sissoko. “We could do better, but we are top of the league and we took a point at Chelsea, so it’s not bad,” he added.
