Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Moussa Sissoko has spoken highly of his teammate Serge Aurier to Ham&High.

Aurier played well for Tottenham in their Premier League game against West Ham at the Wembley Stadium in London on Thursday evening.

The 25-year-old defender started the London derby and played for the entire 90 minutes, as the game ended in a 1-1 draw.

Aurier joined Tottenham from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2017 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £23 million.

Tottenham midfielder Sissoko played with the Ivory Coast international right-back at Toulouse, and the former Newcastle United man has spoken highly of his Spurs teammate.

The France international has said that Aurier is getting better week by week – a very positive sign indeed.

Sissoko told Ham&High: “I don’t know if it’s his best game for the club, but it’s one of his best. Week by week he’s feeling better in the team and I’m happy for him. That’s what the club wants to see from him so I hope he’s going to do better and better.

“When you change country and you don’t speak the language, it’s totally different and it’s not easy. But I think since he came he’s done very well and, game by game, he’s been better.”

Aurier has scored one goal in nine Premier League starts for Tottenham so far this season. As for Sissoko, the French midfielder has scored one goal and provided one assist in 11 league starts for Spurs so far this campaign.
