Moussa Sissoko and Michel Vorm have lauded Mousa Dembele after Tottenham Hotspur wished their former midfielder Happy Birthday.
On Sunday, Mousa Dembele, who left Tottenham in 2019, turned 36 and the club posted on Instagram ‘Some player’.
It drew a response from their former goalkeeper Michel Vorm in the comments section, who wrote ‘if you know, you know’, whilst Moussa Sissoko labelled the Belgian as ‘exceptional’ via his Instagram story.
The manner in which Dembele departed Spurs was a huge shame because he was forced to head for the exit door because of constant injury issues.
His body could no longer fight the tough and relentless nature of the English Premier League, hence his decision to play his football in China.
But, one thing is for sure, Spurs fans across the world, and those who played with the ball-carrying midfielder, will never forget what he brought to the table.

“If you know, you know,” wrote Vorm, added with a goat and clapping hands emojis.
“An exceptional player. Happy Birthday, my brother,” added Sissoko.
Dembele still missed at Tottenham
You could argue, whilst it has been a number of years since Dembele left, they haven’t replaced him in their XI.
Perhaps only the injured Rodrigo Bentacur can hold his head high from the midfielders that have been used over the years, with many, many struggling.
The bite, strength and bravery Dembele provided from deep is hugely missed, as he will go down as those typical ‘streets won’t forget footballers’ in years to come.
