Moussa Sissoko has told the London Evening Standard that he has been encouraged to see so many different styles of players succeeding at Tottenham Hotspur.

Spurs have a collection of players who have a range of strengths, and Sissoko has been brought to add further depth to their attacking ranks.

The French international was brought to Spurs from Newcastle United for a sizeable fee, and he is now hoping to pay back Mauricio Pochettino’s faith.

“What qualities can I bring to this team? My power and my strength. I have a lot of energy. Everyone knows I like to run forward, so maybe this is something I can add,” Sissoko said.

“What is encouraging is that we have different styles of players within the group, which can only be good for the team and for the manager.”

Sissoko provides Pochettino with a different option to his current right-wing choices.

While Erik Lamela and Heung Min-Son both add endeavour and trickery to Tottenham’s forward line, Sissoko brings with him power and strength.

The 27-year-old was inconsistent at Newcastle, but his displays at Euro 2016 proved his talent.

Sissoko is yet to make much of an impact at Spurs, but he did make his debut in Pochettino’s side’s impressive 4-0 victory over Stoke City last weekend.

Sissoko could make his first start for Tottenham in their match against Monaco in the Champions League on Wednesday evening.
