Tottenham new boy Moussa Sissoko has explained why he opted to join the club, in an interview with Spurs TV.
The French international signed for the Lilywhites in the dying hours of the transfer window yesterday in a deal worth around £30 million, according to the Sun.
Everton also had a bid accepted by Newcastle United but the 27-year old had his heart set on a move to White Hart Lane.

“I am in the prime of my career and I want to play for a big team,” said Sissoko. “I have the chance now with Tottenham so I’m looking forward and I hope we will do well in the Premier League and in the Champions League also.”
The lure of being in Europe’s premier competition has proven its value for Spurs but the qualities of Mauricio Pochettino were also a key factor in the midfielder’s decision.
“He’s a good manager, I know him from a long time ago. I saw him at Southampton, I’ve seen what he’s doing here and it’s fantastic so I spoke with him, he told me he likes me and he likes how I play. He wanted me to come here and I hope he will help me to progress again. We will work well together as we have the same objectives.

“I’m here at an amazing place with amazing fans and an amazing manager so everything is good. It’s a dream come true and I’m very happy,” he added.
Sissoko’s arrival at Spurs made it five signings in total this summer and Pochettino now boasts a much more competitive and balanced squad of players.
Victor Wanyama and Vincent Janssen have quickly proven their worth to the team and have arguably forced their way into the first-team already.

Sissoko and fellow new boy Georges-Kevin Nkoudou will add much -needed pace to the Lilywhites attack and will give the likes of Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli serious competition.
Pau Lopez is a very highly-rated young goalkeeper, who could emerge as Tottenham’s number one for years to come, and it will be interesting to see how much action he gets during this loan spell.
Tottenham’s deadline day dealings have turned their summer’s activity from slightly underwhelming to hugely exciting and it will be fascinating to see what Pochettino can achieve with his best squad yet.
