Struggling summer signing Moussa Sissoko has expressed his desire to remain a Tottenham Hotspur player.
Speaking to beIN SPORTS in France, Sissoko said he is determined to adjust to the demands of Mauricio Pochettino.
Sissoko signed for Tottenham on transfer deadline day last summer in a big money move from Newcastle United, but has been a big disappointment.
He has not established himself in Tottenham’s first choice XI and there was one occasion late last year where he did not make the match day squad altogether.
Sissoko said: “My future is at Tottenham and I’m trying to give my best.
“I’m trying to learn because I have to get used to a new style of playing in a new team.”
Sissoko has done anything but endear himself as a fan favourite, and his comments are a blow to supporters who want to see him sold this summer.
Ultimately his future will rest on the decision of the club, and whether chairman Daniel Levy can get close to recouping the fee they spent on him last summer.
If not then Tottenham could be stuck with him, with Sissoko apparently keen to dig in and fight for his place.
