Moussa Sissoko appears to be a much more popular figure amongst the Tottenham Hotspur supporters this season.

Moussa Sissoko has told Tottenham’s official website that he wants to thank the Spurs fans for the support that he has had this season, and insisted that he hopes to continue vindicating the love that he is getting.
Sissoko appears to be held in much higher regard this term. He endured a couple of extremely difficult years with Spurs following his move, but seems to have found his role in the team, bringing an abundance of energy to the midfield.
He has established himself as a much more important player in the team, and the fans have certainly responded to his improved performances. And Sissoko suggested that he was pleased with his form while he also responded to the fans’ reaction in recent months.
“Yes, I’m happy and proud. It’s not been easy but I try to stay strong and try to give everything. At the moment I’m doing well so I’m happy about that. I need to keep going and trying to improve, because you can always improve and try to be better and better every game. We have a lot of objectives so I hope at the end of the season we all achieve them,” he told the club’s official website.

“Yes, I know and it’s very nice,” he added, when asked about the fan reaction. “I say ‘thanks’ to them. They give me a lot of energy. I hope it will be like this every game.”
The Frenchman is rarely going to be the man that produces the moments of brilliance that the fans come away from the game talking about. But the ground he seems to cover over 90 minutes seems to be making a big difference to Mauricio Pochettino’s side this season.

There are clearly going to be some supporters within the Spurs fanbase who will probably never be won over by Sissoko and feel that he needs upgrading.
But the general consensus seems to have switched somewhat, and many of the fans are much more appreciative of what Sissoko is now bringing to the team.
