Moussa Sissoko says the 2016/17 season was the worst of his career.

French midfielder Moussa Sissoko is looking for options elsewhere after failing to live up to expectations at White Hart Lane.
The 27-year-old joined Tottenham Hotspur from Newcastle United last summer in a deal worth £30m (Sky Sports), but has hugely disappointed having made just eight starts during Spurs’ impressive Premier League campaign.
Sissoko is worried about being left out of the France squad, and wants to make sure he gets regular games in order to be selected for the 2018 World Cup.

The midfielder is open to moving elsewhere, and hopes the north London club will not hold him back.
Sissoko admits that he prefers to stay in England, but at the same time would welcome a move to other leagues. He is equally interested in returning to France.
“I don’t think [the fee] will be a problem,” Sissoko told L’Equipe (Printed edition page 5). “They know I am no longer a kid. I am 27 and I need to get to the World Cup.
“If a situation arrives where I can leave, I hope they don’t cause problems.

“Everyone knows that I would prefer to stay in England but I have not closed the door on other leagues.
“We will see if there are offers, but Ligue 1 is attractive. We saw that last season with Paris St-Germain and Monaco, but also with teams like Lyon, Nice and Marseille. I will analyse everything and make the best decision.”
The former Newcastle midfielder has been selected for France’s international games against Paraguay and England next month.
However, Didier Deschamps will want him to play regularly if he wants to get into the final squad for the World Cup to be held in Russia.
Sissoko has demanded an honest conversation with the Tottenham manager, Mauricio Pochettino, and he is eager to know where his future lies this summer.
