Moussa Dembele was amongst the Celtic players to take to Twitter shortly after they took one step towards the last 16 of the Europa League by beating Zenit St Petersburg 1-0 at Parkhead, but the striker had a warning for the Hoops.

Brendan Rodgers’ men were simply brilliant as they seized the initiative in the tie with the Russian side, but it appeared for a long time as if they may have to reflect on the game being a missed opportunity.

The Celtic academy graduate then showed the composure of a striker to chest the ball down and launch it into the roof of the net from close range to send Celtic Park into a frenzy.

It is a win that the Hoops thoroughly deserved, but Rodgers will have no problem reminding his players that they can forget about thinking that they have their place in the next round booked ahead of the trip to Russia next week.

And that is a sentiment that was echoed by Dembele – who, unfortunately, missed a decent number of chances during the game – who took to Twitter, along with Kristoffer Ajer and Olivier Ntcham, to suggest that it is only half-time in the tie.
