Brendan Rodgers’s side had already won the league title this season, but the Glasgow giants were handed the trophy on Sunday afternoon following the match against Aberdeen at Celtic Park.

The Bhoys suffered a 1-0 defeat to Aberdeen in their final Scottish Premiership game of the season, but the result did not dampen the mood.

Dembele has taken to Twitter to send a message to the Celtic fans and is also excited at the prospect of playing in next weekend’s game.

The former Fulham youngster, who started the match against Aberdeen and played for 52 minutes, is looking forward to next weekend’s Scottish Cup final game against Motherwell.

Celtic fans have responded to Dembele’s message on Twitter and have urged him to remain at Celtic Park beyond the summer of 2018.

The 21-year-old, who earns £25,000 per week as salary according to The Daily Star and cost the Hoops £500,000 in compensation fee when they signed him in the summer of 2016 following his departure from Fulham according to Get West London, is one of the best strikers in the Scottish Premiership, and one should not be surprised if big clubs from the Premier League in England come calling for him in the summer transfer window.
