Celtic are trying to keep hold of Moussa Dembele.

Moussa Dembele of Celtic celebrates his 2nd goal during the Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership match between Celtic and Rangers on September 10, 2016 in Glasgow.

Is Celtic forward Moussa Dembele trying to force an exit?

The striker has been subject of interest over the past week from French sides Lyon and Marseille (via L’Equipe) and his future will be decided one way or another today.

Dembele sat out Celtic’s Europa League game against Suduva last night – and after it he posted a cryptic message on Twitter.

Dembele’s message read: “A man without his word is nothing. A real man keeps his word.”

Former Celtic forward Chris Sutton reacted on Twitter to claim Dembele is calling out manager Brendan Rodgers.

Rodgers yesterday was quoted in The Mail stating Dembele would not be sold if Celtic are unable to sign a replacement at this late stage of the transfer window.

Sutton is suggesting that Rodgers had previously told Dembele he would be allowed to leave if big money was offered and he wanted to go.

If this is the case then the next day at Celtic is going to be a fascinating one, centred around whether they can hang onto their star man, with the Old Firm derby on the horizon two days later.
