Moussa Dembele has enjoyed a sensational season with Celtic, and has unsurprisingly been attracting attention from some of Europe’s biggest clubs.

Moussa Dembele has provided a major hint that he has no intention of leaving Celtic in the near future by insisting that his spell with the Hoops is just beginning, the Daily Record reports.

Dembele has arguably already established himself as one of the Bhoys’ greatest ever signings, with the Record reporting that the £500,000 acquisition is now worth £35 million and is attracting from several of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Juventus.

But before Celtic fans become concerned about whether they will be able to persuade the 20-year-old to stick around – especially with the youngster well on course to be a part of domestic treble-winning side – the former Fulham star has lauded Brendan Rodgers and hinted that his only concern beyond the summer involves making an even greater impact for the Hoops.

“I knew that straight away when I signed here. I knew working alongside him would make me a better player,” he said, as reported by the Record.

“He is close to his players and his staff and it is good for a player to have a manager like that.

“But it is not the end, it is just the beginning and I have to keep working hard to make sure I am even better next season.”

While Dembele has undoubtedly got the talent to make a move to one of Europe’s biggest clubs already, he is surely making a very wise decision if his comments confirm that he has no intention of leaving Parkhead this summer.

He has quickly established himself as one of the Bhoys’ star players, displacing Leigh Griffiths as the key striker – something that would have surely seemed impossible last summer – so is able to enjoy plenty of first-team football for a side where the expectations are considerable, and for a side that is looking to make more of an impact in the Champions League.

And while his departure seems inevitable at some stage, it appears that he plans to stick around long enough to carry on helping Celtic re-establish themselves as one of the most desirable destinations for some of Europe’s most talented players.
