Moussa Dembele took to Twitter to comment on Celtic’s stunning Scottish Cup semi-final win over Rangers, and it is arguably fair to say that the 21-year-old summed up the victory perfectly.

Brendan Rodgers’ men went into the game one win away from securing the Scottish Premiership title and would have been hoping that they could move themselves one fixture closer to a sensational double Treble.

Rangers gave the Bhoys a scare at Ibrox when the two sides previously met, so Rodgers may have expected a tough game at Hampden Park – especially as that was the scene of the Gers’ previous win over Celtic when they met in the same round of the same competition in 2016.

However, Celtic could not have enjoyed a much more comprehensive victory. First-half goals from Tom Rogic and Callum McGregor virtually put the game to bed before the break, before Dembele and Olivier Ntcham both converted penalties in the second-half to wrap up the 4-0 win.

Rangers could not find anything like the intensity they showed during the first-half at Ibrox recently, while Celtic managed to show the same battling qualities that saw them come from behind on two occasions in that game and then win once they were down to 10 men.

It is a day that is likely to live long in every Celtic fan’s memory, while Rangers would love for the next fixture to come swiftly so they can start to put the loss behind them.
