Celtic were hammered 7-0 by Barcelona in their latest fixture.

Moussa Dembele and Scott Sinclair have both expressed their disappointment on Twitter, after Celtic were beaten 7-0 by Barcelona in Champions League action last night.

Celtic were put to the sword by the Spanish champions, in what was a ruthless display of dominance.

Barcelona took the lead early on through Lionel Messi, and from that moment on they never let up.

Moussa Dembele had Celtic’s best chance to score, but he missed his penalty and Barcelona went on to make the Bhoys’ pay for that moment of profligacy.

Messi added a further two goals to his tally, and Luis Suarez (2), Andres Iniesta and Neymar also got on the scoresheet to seal a comfortable victory.

Brendan Rodgers was not too harsh on his players after the match, but the Celtic squad were left humiliated by the defeat.

And both Sinclair and Dembele were quick to post messages to the club’s supporters on social media, after the humbling experience.

Celtic are next in action at the weekend, when they take on Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
