Tottenham Hotspur star Eric Dier has been linked with a move to Manchester United in the summer transfer window.
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mousa Dembele has told the club’s official website that his teammate Eric Dier is a brilliant footballer.
Dembele made the comments about the England international following Spurs’ 2-0 victory over Burnley away from home at Turf Moor in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
Dier, who can operate as a defender or as a defensive midfielder, played well against the Clarets.
Spurs midfielder Dembele has praised the 23-year-old former Sporting Lisbon man.
“He’s a very good player and everyone knows that,” Dembele told Tottenham’s official website about Dier.
“We work well together, he’s an amazing player, he does it in midfield, in defence and it’s so easy for him to adapt – but of course it’s not easy at all.”
Dier is probably not having the same season as he had in 2015-16, but there is no doubt that he is a superb footballer.
The England international has been linked with a move to Manchester United in the summer transfer window.
The Sun reported last month that United manager Jose Mourinho wants to sign Dier, who is a very versatile player and is only going to get better.
Dembele’s praise for Dier show just how United are (reportedly) interested in a player who is claimed to be rated at £40 million.
