Tottenham Hotspur and Sunderland played out a goalless draw on Tuesday evening.
Tottenham Hotspur saw two points slip as they could only draw 0-0 with Sunderland on Tuesday night.
Spurs headed into the match knowing they could close the gap on leaders Chelsea if the Blues dropped points against Liverpool.

While those two sides drew 1-1, Mauricio Pochettino’s men could not break down the Premier League’s bottom side, ultimately leaving the Stadium of Light with a single point.

Tottenham were well below their best, although credit has to go to Sunderland for scrapping throughout.
It could be argued that the one Spurs player who left the field with his head held high was Belgian international Mousa Dembele, after a fine individual performance in the centre of the park.
| Passing Accuracy | Key Passes | Duels Won | Aerials Won | Interceptions Won | Tackles Won | Dispossessed | Ball Recoveries | Mins Played | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mousa Dembélé | 94% | 1 | 9 | 1 | 2 | 2 | 2 | 12 | 85 |
Dembele had a wonderful 94 per cent passing accuracy while he won nine duels and a very impressive 12 ball recoveries.
The Tottenham star also won two interceptions, two tackles, one aerial duel and he was only dispossessed twice all evening.
He did well and it is time his Tottenham teammates followed his lead to ensure they keep the title race alive in the weeks ahead.
