Tottenham Hotspur go into the international break third in the Premier League and having reached the knockout stages of the Champions League.

Mousa Dembele and Harry Kane were among the Tottenham stars to take to Twitter in the wake of their win over Crystal Palace on Sunday to mark the end of what has been a fantastic week for Mauricio Pochettino’s men.
Spurs followed up their sensational 3-1 win over Real Madrid on Wednesday night – that saw Tottenham book their place in the knockout stages of the Champions League and take one giant step towards finishing top of their group – by beating the Eagles at Wembley.

It was certainly not a memorable performance from Spurs against Roy Hodgson’s men – with Paulo Gazzaniga having to make a number of excellent saves to keep Palace out – but a goal from Son Heung-min ensured that they went into the international break having secured three points.
The win ensures that Spurs go into the break third in the top flight. And while the performance against Palace will not live long in the memory, the week itself surely will, as they picked up a win in midweek that showed that Tottenham plan to be at Europe’s top table for a long time and can handle the demands of battling on several fronts.

And following the win over Palace, a number of players took to social media to comment on the victory, as well as the week as a whole.
And it was arguably Dembele’s tweet which perhaps best summed up how far Tottenham have come in recent years with the Belgian clearly not getting carried away despite picking up one of the most impressive wins in their recent history on Wednesday and following it up with a hard-fought victory today.
