Tottenham have yet to make a new signing this summer.
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mousa Dembele has told the Daily Mail that he doesn’t think that the club need to bring in a host of new signings this summer.
Whilst the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United and even Everton have been splashing the cash this summer, only one Premier League club have yet to make a signing since the end of last season.

That club is Tottenham Hotspur, who haven’t yet managed to bring in any new additions, and have been involved in just one big deal this summer, selling right back Kyle Walker to Manchester City.
Spurs were fairly patient in the market last summer too, as they signed just two players before the start of the season – Victor Wanyama and Vincent Janssen – before adding three more on deadline day in August.
After finishing second in the Premier League last season and with another Champions League campaign on the horizon, manager Mauricio Pochettino may well want to bring in new signings, though Spurs face a fairly unique situation in comparison to the rest of the league.
Not only do Spurs have to be careful with their spending as they fund a new stadium, but Pochettino also faces a problem convincing players to sign, given that his starting line-up is so strong that any new additions may have to put up with featuring from the bench on a regular basis.
That may be hard to sell to potential signings, but with promising youngsters such as Kyle Walker-Peters, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Joshua Onomah emerging, Pochettino may prefer to develop young talents rather than splash the cash.
Now, Spurs midfielder Mousa Dembele has told the Daily Mail that he supports Tottenham’s approach to the transfer window, as he doesn’t feel that the club need five or six new signings, and are better off sticking with the family-like setup already at the club.

“Exactly like a family, it’s a very good thing to have a group that stays together and understands each other as well,” said Dembele. “The first year with the manager was different because it was a new philosophy, and now the last few years everybody understands what he means, everybody knows what to do.”
“We don’t change five or six players, you have to start over with new players. I think this way to do it is very good. The quality we have now – everybody is looking in the same direction. We concentrate on the team we have now. If the team stays like this, we know that like last year we’re going to have a good season. We’re very positive,” he added.
