Tottenham Hotspur booked their place in the final of the Champions League with an incredible second-half performance.

Mousa Dembele has taken to Twitter to laud his former Tottenham teammates after Mauricio Pochettino’s side produced an incredible second-half display to book their place in the Champions League final.
At half-time of the second-leg of their semi-final, it appeared that Spurs were heading for the exit as Ajax boasted a 3-0 lead on aggregate, with the Eredivisie side winning 2-0 on the night.
But, perhaps inspired by Liverpool’s heroics the previous day, Tottenham put together an even more outrageous comeback. Lucas Moura had levelled the game up on the night before the hour-mark.
And it would be the Brazilian who booked their ticket to Madrid as he found the back of the net in the 96th minute to set up a final between the two Premier League sides.

It has been a remarkable journey for Spurs, who took just one point from their opening three group games before ultimately scraping through the group-stages, and needed VAR to come to their rescue in a quarter-final against Manchester City, which now almost seems forgettable after the stunning semi-finals.
And one of the players who has played a role in their run to the final but will not be in Madrid is Dembele, who left the club for the Chinese Super League in January.
