Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mousa Dembele has impressed with his performances over recent weeks.

Pochettino went public with his praise of Dembele recently, and drew comparisons between the Belgian midfielder and the two greats of the game.
However, Dembele says that the kind words from his manager did not take him by surprise, as the Argentine boss has always given him confidence.
“In the past we spoke a lot as well, so it’s not something new you’re telling me [that Pochettino compared him to Maradona and Ronaldinho].

“He speaks a lot with me and gives me confidence. He’s mentioned these kinds of things to me in the past. Obviously he’s been giving me confidence and it’s a good thing, but you always want to win something, so it doesn’t change my role.
“It’s a good feeling. Everybody likes to be appreciated. It’s a good feeling, but there’s so much to play for still.”
Dembele actually made a slow start this season, but he is back to his best now.

The 30-year-old is one of Spurs’ most experienced players, and he is performing a crucial role for the Lilywhites.
Dembele’s performance in the first leg of Tottenham’s tie against Juventus was nothing short of sensational, and he helped Pochettino’s side pick up a 2-2 draw in Italy.
Tottenham face Juve in the second leg of their Champions League tie at Wembley tomorrow evening.
