Wilfried Zaha will admit now that he moved to Manchester United too soon back in 2013, and hit the reset button by rejoining Crystal Palace.

Back at Selhurst Park his star has begun to shine brighter than ever before, and he looks primed to make another big move this summer, recently leading his side to victories over Arsenal and Chelsea.

Tottenham are the team most prominently linked to his signature, with The Sun reporting last month they are confident of a deal.

Yet could Manchester United thwart the London side and bid to bring Zaha back to Old Trafford?

The Red Devils did not insert a buy back clause into his sale or first option agreement, a decision they may now regret, having done so recently with Memphis Depay.

Manager Jose Mourinho is reported to be a fan, with The Express reporting in 2012 how he was keen on bringing the winger to Real Madrid.

Zaha is now full of confidence and older and wiser, better equipped to handle making a big move.

United’s problem this season has been unlocking defences, Zaha’s speciality, making eight take-ons in the win over Arsenal, more than the rest of the Palace team combined, and providing two assists.

That took his tally to nine assists for the season, more than double the number any United midfielder had at that stage, with Ander Herrera and Anthony Martial on four, Juan Mata three and Henrikh Mkhitaryan one.
