Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho has described both Dele Alli and Gareth Bale’s performances as ‘positive’ after last night, when speaking to Football London.
Alli and Bale both featured for Spurs as they won 4-1 in the Europa League against Wolfsberger AC.
Tottenham looked back to their flowing best going forward, even without Harry Kane in the starting line-up.
That has been a rarity in recent times, and Alli’s and Bale’s displays were part of the reason why Spurs looked so dangerous.
Alli linked play together nicely and showed some flashy touches in the final third.
Bale, meanwhile, scored and claimed an assist in his best display since returning to Tottenham in the summer.

Mourinho was keen not to go overboard with his praise on the final whistle.
However, the Tottenham boss did suggest that he was pleased with the displays of his resurgent pair.
“I believe they were positive like the team was positive,” he said.
“I took Gareth off because I know that in this process it’s not so easy for him to play the 90 minutes, because the team at that time needs a little bit more freshness, which Lamela gave us.”
Bale and Alli could now have a chance of starting against West Ham United at the weekend.
Mourinho has rarely sounded as open to using both players as he currently does, and the hope is that their inclusion will help Tottenham snap out of their poor form in domestic competition.
