Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho has told the London Evening Standard that he thinks Joe Rodon has huge potential.
Tottenham have just signed Rodon from Swansea City, and he is yet to make his debut.
But Mourinho has been impressed by what he has seen from the Welsh defender so far.
The Portuguese boss also feels that Matt Doherty will grow into an important player for Tottenham, once he has fully adjusted to the demands at his new club.
“Joe Rodon, we just love his potential, his mentality. He needs to work to get there. Matt Doherty has just arrived and he is also adapting,” Mourinho said.
Rodon could have a real chance of breaking into Tottenham’s team sooner rather than later if he continues to impress in training.

Spurs have not exactly looked water-tight at the back this season, and Mourinho is still searching for his defensive pairing of choice.
Tottenham have already used a number of combinations in the heart of their defence, with Eric Dier, Toby Alderweireld, Davinson Sanchez and Ben Davies playing there this term, but none of the quartet have fully convinced.
Spurs are in action later this evening against Burnley, and it will be interesting to see whether Rodon is included in the squad.
