Tottenham Hotspur head coach Jose Mourinho has disclosed what he told his players at half time against Crystal Palace, as quoted on BBC Sport.
Spurs got the better of Palace 4-1 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday evening.
Gareth Bale, on loan from Real Madrid, put Spurs in the lead after 25 minutes, but Christian Benteke restored parity on the stroke of half time.
Tottenham came out firing in the second half and eased to a 4-1 win in the London derby in the end.
BBC Sport quotes Mourinho as saying: “I told them at half-time I was very happy with the goal we conceded. They think I was crazy.
“It was proof to the players if you lose control and start dropping, they have one, two three crosses and it’s difficult to keep a clean sheet.”

Good management
Tottenham did well in the first half, but there were signs that the players were getting a bit comfortable.
The goal from Palace sparked Spurs, and it did help in the players stepping up their game.
Of course, it could have gone very differently, but credit must be given to Mourinho and to the Tottenham players.
The win has enhanced Tottenham’s chances of finishing in the top four of the Premier League table this season.
Spurs are also in the Europa League Round of 16, and Mourinho will be determined to win that competition as well.
