Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho has said to Football London that Harvey White and Jack Clarke ‘belong with the first-team’.
White and Clarke have both been training with Tottenham’s senior side all season to date, and could well feature on Sunday, when Mourinho’s men take on Marine.
And the Portuguese boss believes that the pair should be considered senior players in their own right now.
“Harvey and Jack they are U23s, they play U23s when we feel that they should go there and take minutes but they are professionals,” he said.
“They belong with the first team squad, they train with the first team squad since day one in pre-season. They played in the Europa League so let’s look at them as first team players and of course they will be involved in the game but they are involved so many times so it’s nothing new.”
Clarke is a player Mourinho really seems to have taken a shine to since pre-season.

The winger was sent out on two loan spells by Spurs last season, but struggled for game time in the Championship.
However, Mourinho has spotted his talent this campaign and has offered him a handful of first-team opportunities in the Europa League.
White, meanwhile, is a Tottenham academy graduate, who has been one of the club’s standout players across a number of age groups.
White is arguably already the best set piece taker at Tottenham, and he will hope to impress if he is given a chance to feature against Marine.
