Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Harvey White has now been training with Tottenham Hotspur’s senior squad for a year, as per his comments in Football London.

The 19-year-old came off the bench for Tottenham on Thursday in their Europa League tie against Ludogorets, as he made his senior debut.

And Mourinho has now said that White has officially been promoted to Tottenham’s senior squad.

“Harvey White is training with us every day. For about a year he’s been training with us every day so his evolution is good,” Mourinho said.

White has already shown plenty of promise in Tottenham’s youth teams.

The teenager is capable of playing in both midfield and at left-back, with his technical quality clear to see.

White is one of the best set-piece takers at Tottenham already, and it will now be interesting to see how Mourinho opts to help him progress in future years.

Spurs have been keen to loan out their most promising youngsters since Mourinho took charge – with the likes of Troy Parrott and Oliver Skipp getting regular game time in the Championship – and it would not be a surprise if White was also given a temporary spell away from the club soon.
