According to The Mirror, Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho has yet to talk to Dele Alli about his situation at the club after he was left out of the squad against Brighton and Hove Albion.

When Mourinho became Tottenham boss almost a year ago, Alli was one of the first players to suddenly make a huge impact.

Alli bagged four goals and three assists in his first seven games under Mourinho, but his form appeared to desert him when football returned from lockdown – and this season hasn’t started well.

The 24-year-old has managed just two Premier League appearances this season, with only one league start, and it’s now more of a surprise when Alli is in a matchday squad, such is his lack of action under Mourinho.

It’s now stated that Mourinho is yet to sit down with Alli and tell him what he needs to do in order to get back into the Spurs side.

This now means Alli could be on the move in January, as he needs football in order to make a late run for England’s squad for the European Championships.

Paris Saint-Germain are keen on Alli, and with Moise Kean enjoying a renaissance there, maybe Alli could follow suit with a loan move to the French capital.

It certainly doesn’t seem like Alli will win a place in Tottenham’s starting XI any time soon, and with Mourinho offering little encouragement, a parting of the ways may be best for all.
