Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to get back to winning ways on Monday night.
Jose Mourinho’s side welcome Everton to North London and the hosts will be hoping to banish the memories of Thursday.
Spurs were thumped 3-1 away to Sheffield United earlier in the week and a big response is important against the Toffees.
But Tottenham could be without one big player for that one.
Speaking to Football London, Mourinho has revealed in his pre-match press conference that Dele Alli has today picked up a hamstring problem and doesn’t know the severity of the injury yet.
He said: “Something today in training with Dele Alli. I don’t think it’s big and I don’t really know what it is. [It’s his] Hamstring, which is something that he has had problems with in the past. If you ask me in this moment I think he will be available but I don’t know.”
But Mourinho had better news about Japhet Tanganga.
The exciting right-back hasn’t kicked a ball for Tottenham during Project Restart due to injury, but the Portuguese added that Tanganga will be back in training next week.
He added: “Japhet Tanganga we believe training with the team next week.”
The North Londoners will need Alli – who has a history of hamstring issues – for the rest of the season and it’ll be interesting to see if this latest injury is serious or not.
