Tottenham face what should be a pretty straightforward task in the Europa League on Thursday as they head into the second leg of their tie with Dinamo Zagreb.

The Croatian outfit didn’t prove to be too much of a problem in the first-leg, with Spurs running out 2-0 winners, and they will hope to get through this one with minimal fuss.

However, as much as a 2-0 lead is a nice safety blanket, this is Tottenham Hotspur we’re talking about, and as we all know, sometimes things aren’t as straightforward as they should be for Spurs.

The Europa League could be Spurs’ ticket into next season’s Champions League, so with that in mind, we’ve had a go at predicting their starting XI for this one.

The Europa League always provides a chance for teams to rotate, and we think that Mourinho will make the most of that opportunity, with a massive seven changes predicted here.

Tottenham have a crucial clash against Aston Villa coming up this weekend, so we think this will represent an opportunity to rest players.

There are wholesale changes in the defence, with Davinson Sanchez being the only defender remaining from the north London derby.

The midfield pivot has also seen a change with Moussa Sissoko coming in for Tanguy Ndombele, while Harry Winks comes in for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg who is suspended.

Erik Lamela is of course banned for this weekend’s game against Villa, so we think the Argentine will start here, while Dele Alli also comes into the side.

Harry Kane starts up top after Jose Mourinho confirmed that he will be playing in his press conference on Wednesday.
