Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho has told the London Evening Standard that Sergio Reguilon is likely to make his debut this week.
Reguilon only signed for Tottenham at the weekend from Real Madrid, but Mourinho is already planning to get him into his starting line-up as soon as possible.
The left-back appears to arrived at Spurs in very good shape, after enjoying pre-season with Madrid.
And Mourinho has suggested that Reguilon could make his debut for Tottenham either on Thursday in the Europa League or on Sunday in the Premier League.
“I think Sergio will be quick [to play],” Mourinho said. “He cannot play on Tuesday but I would say he will be available for us maybe for the end of the week.”
Spurs first take on Shkendija on Thursday, before facing Newcastle at the weekend.

Tottenham go into both games as favourites, and Reguilon’s potential availability is a huge boost.
The Spaniard is expected to be a significant upgrade on Ben Davies, who has started at left-back for Spurs in every game so far this term.
