Jose Mourinho has given an insight into Tottenham Hotspur and England international striker Harry Kane on talkSPORT (9:27am, June 29, 2021).
Mourinho, now the manager of AS Roma, worked with Kane when he was in charge of Tottenham.
The striker will be in action for England against Germany in the Euro 2020 Round of 16 tie today.
There is a chance that the tie will go into penalties, and Kane will take one spot kick, if he is still on the pitch, of course.
Mourinho has disclosed how the 27-year-old prepares for penalties.
What Jose Mourinho has said
The Portuguese said about Kane on talkSPORT (9:27am, June 29, 2021): “In the Harry Kane situation, I love one Harry which is the fact that when he goes to the game, he knows if there is a penalty, he knows how he is going to take it.
“It’s not like in the last moment he makes a decision, in the last moment he changes his mind. Harry decides before the game, a few days before the game, he decides how he is going to take it, and then he spends three, four days before the game practising that shot. I just love that.”

Fascinating insight
Kane is one of the best strikers in the world and a proven goalscorer.
Mourinho’s revelation about how the 27-year-old prepares for penalties is very insightful and fascinating.
It shows just how meticulous Kane is in his preparations.
That is a big reason why the England international is as successful as he is.
Kane works hard on his game and is a role model for any budding footballer.
Under Mourinho last season, Kane actually evolved as a footballer and created chances as well as scored goals.
The Tottenham no.10 ended up scoring 23 goals and giving 14 assists in the Premier League last season.
