Jose Mourinho has told Tottenham Hotspur’s official Twitter account that he considers Everton strike pairing Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin to be among the best players in the Premier League.
Richarlison and Calvert-Lewin were very quiet last night, as Spurs beat Everton 1-0.
And Mourinho feels that his Tottenham defence deserve a lot of credit, as the Everton duo are quality players.
“Hugo didn’t make an important save in the game against very, very good players,” Mourinho said.
“Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison are two of the best strikers in the Premier League. Really, really difficult, and we were totally in control.”
Tottenham lined up with Eric Dier and Toby Alderweireld at the heart of their defence last night, and they performed well as a pairing.
Spurs were largely untroubled throughout the contest, with a long-range shot from Richarlison the closest Everton really came to scoring.

Tottenham also struggled to create chances yesterday, but they did enough to take the three points thanks to a deflected strike from Giovani Lo Celso.
Tottenham’s victory has pushed them into eighth place in the Premier League table, and extended the distance between them and Everton to four points.
