Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho has said to the club’s official app that he will take a strong team to face Marine in the FA Cup.
Spurs have been drawn against Marine in the third round of the cup competition, and are huge favourite to progress.
Marine play in the eighth tier of English football and only play at semi-professional level.
But Mourinho insists that he wants to make the occasion special for the non-league club.
And the Tottenham boss has promised to name a strong line-up for the contest.
“I have lots of respect for the cup and for these players and coaches,” he said.
“The reason why they are playing in these lower leagues is because of the passion they have for the game. For some reason, they didn’t reach the professional level, but that was not because of lack of passion. They are in love with the game.
“For them to play against Tottenham. To play against the players that we have, world champions, the captain of England, against the guy who went four Champions League, is a unique day.

“I want to make an amazing day for them. For all of them.
“The only way I want to go against that amazing feeling for them is by winning. I want to win. I want to take great players there. I want them to feel the respect and share our passion for these days. I just love it.”
Mourinho has talked up his desire to win a trophy with Tottenham, and he has taken every competition that they have played in seriously so far.
Tottenham do have a demanding schedule though, due to their European commitments, and that may mean that Mourinho cannot go full strength in a game against Marine, as he will surely want to rest some key players for the clash.
Tottenham’s FA Cup clash against their lower leagues opponents in scheduled to take place on the 9th January, as things stand.
