Tottenham fans reacted on Twitter after Harry Kane was named the Premier League’s Player of the Year at the London Football Awards on Tuesday night, as posted by Sky Sports.
It has been a remarkable season for Kane even though his own Tottenham side are heading towards potential disaster.
Over the course of the season, Kane has struck a remarkable 21 goals and supplied 13 assists – both chart-topping stats.
It’s a crying shame that Tottenham are sitting in seventh place because such performances are deserving of a top-four place, at the very least, and not one that could see his side miss out of Europe altogether.
Whilst many Spurs fans might not like to hear it, but Jose Mourinho deserves credit for getting this all-round package out of Kane.
Previously, the Englishman always had an eye for goal, in whatever game and at whatever angle,
But it’s the creative side that Mourinho brought out by allowing the 27-year-old to drop deep and run the game.
Kane may have picked up the London award, but when it comes to the main one at the end of the season, his name has to be in the running.
