Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho has told Football.London that Sergio Reguilon is not travelling to Hungary for Europa League action.
Spurs take on Austrian side Wolfsberger on Thursday evening, but the game is being played at the Puskas Arena in Hungary for pandemic-related reasons.
Mourinho will be desperate for a first-leg lead, but he will have to do it without left back Reguilon, who remains out of action.
The Spaniard is out with a ‘muscle injury’ right now, meaning he hasn’t played for Spurs since the 3-1 win over Sheffield United a month ago.
There were hopes that the 24-year-old would be back to face Wolfsberger, but Mourinho has completely ruled out that prospect.
Mourinho has admitted that Reguilon isn’t travelling to Hungary at all, and whilst there is no setback, he just isn’t healing as quickly as first though.

The £27milllion signing from Real Madrid may be back this weekend or for the second leg against Wolfsberger, but Mourinho just isn’t sure right now.
“No good news. [Sergio] is not coming,” said Mourinho. “No setback, just the process is not going as fast as we initially thought. Let’s see. Weekend, next Europa League match, let’s see,” he added.
